Colored visuals increase people’s willingness to read a piece of content by 80%, and almost half of our brains are involved in visual processing. This fact is why creative social media and creative infographics in web design are crucial to both successful and unique marketing campaigns that can distinguish any company.
Keeping it business savvy (but fun)
While colorful and artsy graphics are important and attractive in any business’s social media marketing, it is important to remember that professionalism and purpose still matter! Any social media post should be either promoting personal brand or passing along information that could be useful to the reader in relation to the business. For example, if you are retail clothing business, a business-centered, yet aesthetically pleasing Instagram post might consist of a new article of clothing that has just arrived to the store, complemented by other pieces to create a seasonal outfit. There could then be in the written portion of the post a very brief advertisement about the new product, followed by a promotional blurb and completed with a “link in bio” to an article for tips regarding this season’s “must haves.” This is just an example and each company’s needs are different, but the general idea is what is important. One final step in gaining viewer intrigue is asking a question for viewers to respond to and comment on within the post.
Keep all platforms connected
Individual social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, etc. encompass unique qualities and purposes, but when a company uses multiple platforms, the content should remain connected so that the ideas that a company is trying to campaign are consistent. The importance of this lies in creating a strong company culture and identity that followers can depend on, while utilizing the versatility of multiple platforms, such as using Facebook for news-related topics and Instagram for promotional or conversation-related posts.
Keep it relatable
There is a myriad of ways to effectively market your content, but there are a few that are particularly captivating (especially on Instagram). Some of my favorite forms of Instagram marketing are ones that can significantly humanize a brand. These include “behind-the-scenes” shots of the company either creatively at work or at a community-building event or even a funny post that can make followers laugh, while still including business agenda in a subtler, yet upbeat manner. Fun fact: people tend to be happier on Fridays due to the impending weekend break, so that is the best day for posting funny things!
